It’s easy to grow in most soils and aspects, making it ideal for tricky spots. Grow it as a shrub, train it against walls or fences, or use it as a hedge, compact varieties are also available. Loved by wildlife, its flowers attract pollinators, and its dense, thorny branches offer nesting spots for birds, who enjoy the berries (especially red and orange).
